Fernlea Property Solutions is run and managed by Andrew Speed and was established in 2012. Andrew has had a distinguished career in the civil engineering and construction industry, both in the UK and overseas. Andrew has also worked in the business improvement sector for specialist trade subcontractors, and property and facilities management, having also been a responsible landlord with a residential property portfolio.
To date the company is involved in a number of significant conversion and new build projects across England and continues to explore potential buildings suitable for redevelopment, and suitable brownfield and greenfield sites for development.
The Company was initially set up to optimise opportunity on ‘permitted development’ projects for conversion of buildings (mainly office/commercial to residential but also agricultural and industrial buildings) into apartments, HMOs, Student accommodation, and Serviced Accommodation.
The motivation for this was to bring to the market residential homes to support the ever-growing need for sensibly priced accommodation for the rental sector and first-time buyers using fast track planning options and where possible promotion of the various ‘Help to Buy’ opportunities that can be facilitated by developers for end user buyers.
